According to the cover note on the twelfth volume of the novel, the second season of Hyakka Ryoran: Samurai Girls was announced. The first season was aired in 2010. http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=484311

The story takes place in Japan in the early 21st century, in an alternate reality where the Tokugawa Shogunate has remained in power. In this reality, student councils are tasked with oppressing schools. Yagyuu Muneakira is a high school student who rebels against his student council with the help of girls who've had the names of famous samurai heroes passed on to them.
Not much of a discription the story in the anime is far better though.

there is no way that i will miss it since the 1st season intentionaly left a few things open like that whole epic intro scene from the first ep but i lost all hope at a sequel
