Eurobricks & Brickset Reveals LEGO Star Wars 2014 Set Images

Brickadeer over at Eurobricks posted some images of the upcoming January 2014 LEGO Star Wars sets. No price or piece count information is available yet, but there are other things that can be gleaned from the images. LEGO, in a continuous effort to create projectile weapons to shoot at your eyes, are introducing blasters that shoot 1×1 round plates AND spring loaded missiles that look to be a replacement for the much-panned flick fire ones that have plagued Star Wars sets for years.

One other notable item to be gleaned from the images is art for Plo Koon from set 75054. He appears to be holding a glowing lightsaber. I am unsure if this is just artistic license or if the lightsaber will actually glow. Light Up Lightsaber II? We’ll see.

5034 Death Star Troopers

75035 Kashyyyk Troopers

75036 Utapau Troopers

75037 Battle on Saleucami

75038 Jedi Interceptor

75039 V-Wing Starfighter

75040 General Grievous’ Wheel Bike

75041 Vulture Droid

75042 Droid Gunship

75043 AT-AP

75045 Republic AV-7 Anti-Vehicle Cannon

75046 Coruscant Police Gunship

75044 Droid Tri-Fighter

The Coruscant Police Gunship popped up on Brickset today and a little bit of digging pins the source as a Dutch merchant’s facebook page, originally spotted by Hoth Bricks. As with the rest of the 2014 sets revealed recently the images are the extent of the details. The Gunship is notable for being the only new ship in the entire wave. The Droid Tri-Fighter is on it’s third revision if I’m remembering correct, now with the brand new spring loaded missiles of course and what appears to be Chancellor Palpatine in handcuffs. Someone up to date with the Clone Wars cartoon will have to fill me in as to why.
